Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in an ERASMUS stay in Cologne!
For the exchange with Spanish universities, Prof. Carsten Vogt is the responsible coordinator
at Faculty 07 (Information, Media, and Electrical Engineering).
Please note that Prof. Vogt can only inform you about the faculty's programs in the
fields of informatics / computer science, electrical engineering, and communications engineering.
If you are interested in other areas please contact our International Office.
The International Office will also provide information of a more general nature, as enrolment procedures, insurances etc.
From Spain to Cologne
In order to come to Cologne, you have to apply for an ERASMUS stay.
Your International Office will guide you through the application process.
During this process, you will have to fill in a Learning Agreement, i.e. you must specify the courses you wish to attend in Cologne.
Our Module Handbook contains a list of courses you can select from.
An information leaflet gives you important details on our conditions and requirements - please read it carefully!
When the International Office has accepted your application you must immediately write a short e-mail to
Prof. Vogt
to inform him that you will be coming.
The e-mail must include the list of courses you wish to attend so that we can check it early.
Having arrived in Cologne
After your arrival in Cologne you should present yourself at the
International Office as soon as possible.
There you will get up-to-date information about life at our university and in Cologne.
Moreover, you should meet Prof. Vogt who will help you getting started with your courses at Faculty 07.
Usually, he will invite you for a kick-off meeting where you can meet other Spanish and German students.
A second information leaflet gives you some practical information for your start.
Moreover, the "Students for Students (S4S)" group will be happy to help you.
